If you use Microsoft Word 2003, you can
start using Test Assistant right away to build your paper
tests. Test assistant works hand in hand with Microsoft Word
2003, allowing you to quickly set up multiple choice, fill
in the blank, matching, true-false, and essay questions within
a test. You can instantly randomize question order and/or
answers for an entire test or within any section of a test,
to produce multiple test version, and generate answer sheets
for each version. Save you test as a Microsoft Word document
and return to revise or edit it at any time. Store questions
in a test/question database for future retrieval.
Other test generation products require you
to enter information in boxes and screens. The test is then
saved in a proprietary format that cannot be opened in any
word processor. Test Assistant allows you to work direclty
in Microsoft Word 2003. Install Test Assistant and the Test
Assistant dropdown tools appear on your Microsoft 2003 toolbar.
You simple type you questions as you have always done, but
you use Test Assistant tools to "tag" questions
and answers. Test Assistant allows you to speeds the formatting
of your test while allowing you maximum flexibility, and to
save your test in Microsoft Word 2003 format.
Saving your test questions for future use
is easy. Test Assistant stores tests in a ++++++++++++++++database.
Because Test Assistnat uses Microsoft Office formats, you
can be confident that you can share your tests with other
teachers and edit your tests at any time, even on computers
not running Test Assistant.*
*Note: Tests can be opened on any computer
running Microsoft Word 2003 and they may be edited, printed,
and saved on these computers. However, the features of Test
Assistant will not be accessible.
